Binna Choi
Binna Choi is part of the AFIELD network as one of its advisors.
Binna Choi (South Korea, 1977) is director of the Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons (Utrecht, Netherlands). Binna teaches at the Dutch Art Institute, and works for and with the trans-local network Arts Collaboratory. She is also one of the co-founding members of Cluster, a European network of art organizations closely engaging with their surroundings. She worked as a curator for the 2016 Gwangju Biennale and, in that context, co-organized with Maria Lind the global forum and fellowship of experimental art organizations called All the Contributing Factors. Together with Yollótl Alvarado and Brigitta Isabella, she organized an experimental exhibition introducing Arts Collaboratory working principles at the Asia Culture Center, Gwangju. Choi also regularly delivers public lectures around institutional change.
